On July 13, 2026, 26 organizations sent a letter to Governor Wes Moore, Senate President Bill Ferguson, Speaker Joseline Peña-Melnyk, Senator Guy Guzzone, and Delegate Ben Barnes to thank them for increasing funding for the Community Schools Rental Assistance Program in FY 27 to $11 million. This funding will keep Maryland’s kids in schools and out of shelters by helping 5,000 families avoid eviction and homelessness. Read the letter here.
